After go-live
Business Central support after go-live
Support starts at go-live. For the first weeks we stay closely available, until the team is running the system without us. After that, user support, smaller developments and updates continue as ongoing work.
Go-live
The system is live and the team is trained on its own data.
First weeks
We stay closely available until day-to-day work runs without us.
Ongoing
User support, smaller developments and updates as routine work.
What support covers
Four things that keep running after go-live.
User support
Questions and problems that come up in daily use. They go to a consultant who already knows your setup.
Smaller developments
Live use always turns up things worth adjusting. We handle those as they come, without opening a project for each one.
Updates and upgrades
Business Central gets two major releases a year. We keep your solution current with them.
Estonian localization and regulatory changes
Aptus is one of four Estonian Dynamics partners that develop and maintain the Business Central Estonian localization. When legislation changes, we know what it means for your system.
Changing your Business Central partner
The partner who implemented your system does not have to be the one who supports it. We take over Business Central solutions built by other partners.
Aptus has worked with Dynamics since 1997 and has implemented every NAV and Business Central version. In that time we have seen a wide range of setups.
Who you talk to
Aptus is a small team, and support goes to the same people who did the implementation. Nobody has to relearn your setup from a handover file.
The direct number belongs to Merike Taza, a consultant who does implementations herself: +372 526 6784. Written questions go to info@aptus.ee. We work in English with owners, finance teams and IT partners.
Updates and version management
Microsoft ships two major Business Central releases a year, on the first workday of April and October. Minor updates arrive every other month in between, and they include regulatory changes. Each release needs an owner: someone to assess the impact on your setup, test the changes and keep documentation current. That work is part of support.
If you are still running Dynamics NAV, mainstream support has ended and extended support for NAV 2018 ends in January 2028. We have implemented every NAV and Business Central version, so the move is familiar ground.
How support is agreed
Support comes in two forms: a monthly retainer with a set number of hours included, or hourly work with no fixed fee.
Monthly retainer
We respond within 4 to 12 hours. The retainer price also includes an agreed number of work hours.
Hourly work
Without a retainer we bill by the hour. That suits companies that only need us now and then.
How many hours go into your retainer comes down to four things.
How much support covers: mainly user questions, or smaller developments and updates as well.
How much customization your solution carries. Each customization needs checking when updates land.
Who owns the system day to day on your side. A strong key user means fewer of our hours.
How requests and problems reach us, and who picks them up.
Usually this is settled while the implementation is still running. If your needs change later, we adjust the hours.
Long client relationships
We supported Saarioinen through an earlier upgrade to a new NAV version as well. The first NAV in Estonia went live at Rakvere Lihakombinaat in 1998, and Aptus has been a Dynamics partner since 1997.
Clients include Liviko, Konesko, Salvest, HKScan and Atria.
